Last week, I was asked as a favor to embroider a name onto a towel for a baby shower. It caused me some concern because I had never embroidered on a towel before or done much embroidery in the year that I've had the machine. I did an internet search and found instructions on how to proceed. It went smoothly until I tried to put the UEL on the end of SAM,,, I didn't have enough room left in my hoop for it to fit, The UEL would have overlapped the M. Lucky, the family had planned to call him Sam anyway so I was asked just to put a giraffe next to the name, I started putting it on then stopped the machine because I thought it was upside down. I pick out those threads and started over in a new direction. I embroidered half the giraffe and realized that it was truly upside down. I picked that out and started over in the first direction....and the bobbin thread jammed! I gave up because I was out of time so I pick out the thread and returned it to my friend.
The moral of this story is to practice before I start next time!!! At least now I know how to embroider on a towel and which direction to do it in!!
